Clean Air Catalyst Recognized by Indore District Administration during Independence Day Celebrations

INDORE: On the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, the Indore district administration extended its appreciation to the Clean Air Catalyst project for its remarkable contribution towards enhancing the air quality of Indore. The Minister of Water Resources of Madhya Pradesh, Tulsi Silawat, along with Indore District Collector Dr. Ilayaraja T, presented a certificate to City Project Officer, Megha Namdeo, on behalf of the Catalyst.
The recognition of noteworthy institutions and citizens formed an integral part of the primary Independence Day event in the Indore district. This event took place at the Armed Police Training College Ground, Mahesh Guard Line, Indore on August 15th. In addition to this, Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Divisional Commissioner of Indore Division Malsingh Bhydiya, IMC Commissioner Harshika Singh, the highest-ranking police official in Indore and representatives from political parties and civil society graced the main celebration with their presence.
Clean Air Catalyst is a global partnership supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development, led by World Resources Institute and Environmental Defense Fund, Inc. Launched in 2020, it is focused on building capacity for locally tailored solutions that curb air pollution, tackle climate change, and improve human health. Other Catalyst partner organizations are Columbia Climate School Clean Air Toolbox for Cities, Climate and Clean Air Coalition, Internews, MAP-AQ, Open AQ and Vital Strategies. The Catalyst has projects on the ground in Indore, India; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Nairobi, Kenya.
